Kat Moritz is a Melbourne based writer and theatre maker. In 2016, her debut play (in)tent premiered at the Melbourne Fringe Festival to sold out audiences. Last year, she was awarded a three month residency at the Abbotsford Convent which culminated in the production of her play Disgust which will see its second season at La Mama later this year. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English and recently completed her Masters in Writing for Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts. Kat’s obsession lies in carving out a theatrical space within which the everyday can be explored and presented. As well as writing for theatre, Kat also works as a screen producer and is currently Resident Dramaturge at MKA.
